For many people, therapy provides a safe space to work through difficulties with someone by their side.
At New Me Psychology (based in Fordingbridge, Hampshire) we provide a blended approach to therapy, depending on the difficulties the individual is seeking support with and their personal preferences.
I offer a non-judgemental, person-centred approach drawing on a number of different therapies, including EMDR, ACT, CFT & CBT.
I am passionate about supporting people to learn and implement the skills they need to enable them to make lasting changes to their lives.
Much of what we do as human beings is the result of experiences and events we did not ask for and were outside our control. I aim to work together with clients to take back control of their lives and start to re-engage with the things in life that matter most to them. This may relate to areas such as work, leisure activities, self-care, and relationships.
This aim was my motivation for creating New Me Psychology and is what continues to drive me today.
Our individual therapy sessions are designed to help clients navigate a wide range of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to trauma and relationship issues. We utilise evidence-based therapies to help clients build resiliency, develop healthy coping skills, and achieve their goals.
Therapy using virtual reality headsets immerses individuals in controlled virtual environments to confront and manage emotional challenges, such as anxiety or phobias, in a safe, engaging, and tailored manner.
Our couples therapy sessions help partners deepen their connection, improve communication, and resolve conflicts. We work with couples to identify patterns of behavior that may be causing distress and provide tools to help them build a stronger, healthier relationship.
Join us on an eight-week Compassionate Mind Training (CMT) course developed by Irons & Heriot-Maitland (2020) from Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). It aims to help participants develop compassion towards themselves and other people, which has been shown to help with a range of common problems such as shame, self-criticism, emotion management problems, anger, anxiety, low mood, stress, and low self-esteem.
Our virtual sessions allow clients to receive quality mental health care from the comfort and convenience of their own home. We use a secure and easy-to-use platform to provide clients with a safe and confidential space to discuss their concerns and work towards their goals.
All of our therapy sessions involve a blend of therapeutic approaches to suit the individual client such as, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Mindfulness. Sessions aim to help clients develop a more mindful and compassionate relationship with themselves and others in order to reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, and cultivate greater engagement with the things that matter to them.

At a stage in my life where nothing was enjoyable, the safest place was home and the future looked very dark. Rachel, through her remarkable skills, experience and brilliant approach, managed to pull me through this. I am now back in the workplace, living a full life once again, which I never thought would happen.
I came to Rachel for help dealing with a traumatic accident I had witnessed, we did EMDR therapy which I found worked brilliantly! Alongside the chosen course of therapy Rachel created a warm and safe environment in which I was able to navigate through my feelings and what I had seen. Within 10 sessions I was feeling myself again, we continued until I was happy to end the sessions but with reassurance that if anything came back up we could revisit and work through it together. I would 100% recommend Rachel to anyone!
If you feel you need support in overcoming the situation you are in, please reach out. The first discussion is free and on a no-obligation basis.
This includes clinical supervision, forensic risk assessement and expert witness testimony
